Fun Facts

Qin Shi Huangdi was born in 259 B.C.  His real name was Zhao Zheng.  He became king of the Qin clan in 246 B.C. at the age of 13.  In 221 B.C., he became the first emperor of the entire country of China.  One of his greatest accomplishments was in the area of transportation and commerce.  He built roads and canals  throughout China.

  1. Excellent post! It is quite interesting how leaders change their names. It seems to be a trend with extremely popular leaders. I couldn't imagine becoming king at my age. 13! That is a really young king!!! WOW!
